YES is seeking a Program Manager to supervise YES’s case management, groups, and volunteer activities. The Program Manager will provide case management training and supervision to our small staff of formerly homeless Peer Counselors who provide the bulk of our service navigation, case management, counseling, and workshops/activities for our youth clients. Additionally, with the assistance of the Director, this person will be responsible for overseeing the day to day activities at the drop-in center. This person will also coordinate and supervise a small, rotating cast of volunteers, many of whom are homeless or formerly homeless youth. Finally, this person will occasionally support the Director in grant writing and reporting, representing YES in various community coalitions, and performing other duties as needed.

Youth Empowered Society (YES) makes the news!

Abc2News recently did this story on Fusion program Youth Empowered Society (YES) and their newly opened Youth Drop-In Center. Check it out to see some of the great work they’ve been doing. Also, please consider donating one of the following urgently needed supplies when you’re in the neighborhood!

Snack and Meal Needs:
Hot chocolate, tea, and other drink mixes
Juice boxes
Fruit cups
Granola bars, crackers, fruit snacks, etc.
Cup-of-Soup/Ramen
Pop-top canned soup/chili
Peanut butter
Jelly/Jam
Sandwich bags
Plastic forks and spoons
Napkins
Small paper plates

Facility Needs:
Paper Shredder; Paper Cutter; Space Heaters; Medical Gloves; Flash Drives

Baltimore Free Farm Hosts Second Annual “Fancy Dinner” Fundraiser!

Please join Fusion program The Baltimore Free Farm Sunday, December 16th for the second annual Fancy Dinner Fundraiser at 2640!
This year’s menu will include appetizer, venison stew, as well as vegan stew, dessert, home brewed beer and wine and more! Vegan options will be available!
You can also treat your ears to our local classical musical guests. There will also be a raffle with awesome prizes!
The event begins at 5 pm, dinner is at 6 pm. To order tickets online, please visit our website, www.baltimorefreefarm.org!

Baltimore Free School to host 4th Annual School Dance!

Grab your sweetheart and pin on that corsage- Fusion program The Baltimore Free School‘s fourth annual School Dance is coming up! Cake, punch, the Bellevederes and DJ Jason Willett! The proceeds will help keep the BFS doors open for anyone to teach or take a class for free. The Bellevederes bring the 1960s funk and soul, with lesser-known dance gems from Etta James, Marva Whitney, Irma Thomas, and more. DJ Jason Willett picks up with dance tracks from his fantastic collection, pulling from the farthest corners of the recorded world.

At the 5th Floor H&H Building, at 405 West Franklin St. (just down the street from the Free School)

Doors at 10, Bellevederes play about 10:30, the whole shebang ends around 2. $5 – $10 sliding scale donation benefits the Baltimore Free School. Spread the word!
